Minchu's Sixth Week - The Great Poop Chronicles
May 3 - May 9, 2025

Hello world! Your tiny correspondent, Minchu, is here, reporting live from my favourite swaddle! I've now been earth-side for SIX WHOLE WEEKS. That's practically ancient in baby time! 🌱
For some reason, Appa took me out to the balcony and showed me the Sun and said, "You're the answer to life, the universe and everything days old! Because you're a star!". Whatever that meant.
💩 The Epic Poop Saga
Let me tell you, this week has been ALL about my digestive adventures:
- Monday was the grand finale with what Appa called a "massive dump" (why do adults get so excited about this stuff?)
- Wednesday, I surprised everyone with my new skill - the "jet-poop"! 🚀 I managed to projectile-poop so impressively that it caused quite the cleanup operation
- Apparently, I've developed a signature move: grunting and groaning until everyone knows it's "poop protocol" time
- My record this week: three poops in one day! The adults celebrated like I'd won some Olympic medal
Amma seems a bit worried about my looser poops, but I think I'm just experimenting with different consistencies. It's called artistic expression, Amma! 🎨
😴 My Sleep Research Project
I've been conducting important sleep research this week:
- My favourite wake-up time is precisely 2:30 AM. I'm very consistent about this! It's right around when Appa and Amma are the sleepiest!
- I've discovered that if I wake up every hour, the adults get this funny, panicked look
- Sometimes I pretend to be sleepy, then SURPRISE! Wide awake again!
- The balcony walk with Appa is my favourite sleep hack
- I've experimented with cat naps - they're refreshing but keep the adults on their toes
👶 My Growing Skills
I'm getting better at this whole "being a baby" thing:
- I've mastered the art of timing my pee perfectly - right when Appa takes me out for sun! Amma calls it destination urination
- I've figured out a new feeding position that helps me stay latched longer - efficiency is key! Also, Amma helped with this teamwork, I guess?
- My lungs are getting stronger - my wailing repertoire now includes "hungry cry," "sleepy cry," and "just because I can cry"
🌞 Sensory Adventures
The outside world is FULL of interesting sensations:
- I LOVED the smell of teakwood on Appa! Made me smile big time 😊
- Cucumber sniffing is my new hobby - so refreshing! And calming!
- The balcony is my favourite place - sun, fresh air, and people watching!
- I've discovered that if I fart loudly enough, I can startle myself awake! Talk about self-sabotage!
- The dhoopa ritual smells interesting, especially when they use that small fan thing
👪 My Human Collection
I'm collecting quite the assortment of humans:
- Sudhee mama came to visit me (I was awake enough to interact!)
- Had a video call with Ajji's sisters and someone called Baby Chikkamma - she looked old, though. Appa said she's like my great-grandmother, which I thought was great!
- Bhaskar thatha said I'm"'growing well like a plant" - I think that's a compliment?
- Appa's face suddenly looked thinner and lighter! I don't know what these adults do.
📸 My Modelling Career
- Had my 1-month photoshoot! Better late than never, as Appa says
- I was VERY cooperative and adorable (naturally)
- Everyone keeps taking photos whenever I do literally anything
- I've perfected smiling right after the shutter clicks. No one can document how cute my smile is!
💠Philosophical Baby Thoughts
Sometimes I wonder why adults get so excited about the smallest things I do. Did I poop? Celebration! Did I stay latched longer? Amazing! Did I sleep for more than 3 hours? It's a miracle!
I've also noticed they've set up something called a "baby monitor" now. My sleep is so fascinating, they need to watch it on a screen too! 📱
My Week in Mini Stats
- Feedings: More during the day now
- Poops: Several noteworthy performances, including one "jet-powered" event
- Sleep: Still a work in progress, but I'm keeping it interesting
- Special Skills: Knowing when it is 2:30 am magically
- Favourite Activity: Smelling things
Well, I feel another dramatic wake-up coming on soon. I've been sleeping peacefully for almost 2 hours now, which means it's almost time to request another midnight snack!
Stay tuned for next week's adventures, when I'll likely discover more interesting smells, perfect my pooping technique, and continue my research on adult sleep deprivation!
With milky burps and drooly smiles, Minchu 👶
P.S. I heard Appa is building something called a "Baby Gym" - sounds exciting! Can't wait to try it out when I figure out how to control these floppy arms of mine!
